Install Android 5.1.1 Lollipop via Resurrection Remix Custom ROM on HTC One X

Android 5.1.1 lollipop custom rom via resurrection remix is now available on HTC One X. This custom rom has great stability and customization, with loads of improvement like the CM12. How to Install Android 5.1.1 Lollipop via Resurrection Remix Custom ROM on HTC One X

Before proceeding to the below guide, make sure that your HTC One X has an unlocked bootloader, rooted, and also have the latest custom recovery (TWRP/CWM) installed on it. Also download HTC One X USB drivers for your computer.

Step 1: Enable USB debugging on HTC One X, simply go to settings >> Developers option.

Step 2: Next, connect your device to a computer.

Step 3: After that, download Resurrection remix Android 5.1.1 ROM from here, and Google Apps from here and copy the downloaded files to the internal storage of HTC One X device.

NB: Before you copy, make sure you’ve also copy the downloaded zip file to the desktop of your computer, in other to extract the boot.img file.

Step 4: Now, transfer the boot.img file to android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools directory on your PC.

Step 5: Next, switch off your device and boot to fastboot mode (press and hold Volume Down button + press Power button).

Step 6: While in Fastboot mode, simply go to the android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools folder and within that open Command Prompt (Shift + Right-click > Open Command Prompt), then input the below command prompt and press Enter:

fastboot flash boot boot.img

Step 7: After that, also input the below command and press Enter:
fastboot reboot

Step 8: Now, select the BOOTLOADER option from RECOVERY by following the on-screen instructions.

Step 9: Once you get to the recovery mode, simply perform a full system wipe (Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache Partition and then Wipe Dalvik Cache/ART cache from advanced section).

Step 10: After that, go to the recover main menu, then choose install ZIP from SD Card, then select the Custom Rom Zip file and install immediately.

Step 11: Repeat the step 10 to also install the Google apps/

Step 12: Once the installation process is completed, simply go back main recovery menu and tap on Reboot system, and your device would be rebooted.

Once your HTC One X is successfully rebooted, then you would notice the new experience of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on your device with much amazing features. And just in case your device got stock in welcome screen during reboot, simply switch off and boot to recovery, then wipe cache partition and reboot.
