Booting an iPad or iPad to recovery mode comes handy whenever your device is unresponsive, even when connected to iTunes, needs to be restored or maybe, you need to downgrade from any beta software. Any of these scenario would need you to boot your iPhone or iPad to recovery mode, in other to execute the remaining operation.


In this guide, I would briefly walk you through the process.

How to Boot an iPhone to Recovery Mode

1.       Firstly, download the latest iTunes to your computer.

2.       After that, turn off your iPad or iPhone.

3.       Now, hold down the Home button and connect it to your computer via USB.

4.       Keep holding the Home button until you see a screen telling you to connect to iTunes.

5.       After that, the iTunes would recognize your device, and it would pop up a message that says, “there is an iPhone or iPad that is in Recovery Mode and needs to be restored before you can use it” then Click OK.

That’s it. Your iPhone or iPad device is in recovery mode section. If you wish to restore your device to default, then you can follow the onscreen instruction to complete the process.
