Xiaomi Chinese Company is set to unveil the MIUI 7 custom rom by 13th of August this year. However, the rom launch event would take place in Beijing.
According to the leaked report, the custom rom would run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, as the predecessor (MIUI 6) runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is said to be the first device to offer MIUI 7 out of the box and the MIUI 7 custom rom is expected to be on powerhouse platform, featuring Snapdragon 820 chip.
