Dell XPS 13 - Review, Specs, Features & Price

Having a powerful laptop with touch screen functionality just got easy with the latest version of the Dell XPS 13 notebook. Though the Dell XPS 13 has been around for some time now but the good news is that it just got an update. This time, Dell has given the latest XPS 13 a brighter screen, longer battery life, and what you will perhaps call a sleek and sexy look. You can't blame Dell for this seeing keeping it sleek is already a culture as with the latest version of the Dell Inspiron 15-700.

The design of the latest Dell XPS 13 notebook is not a departure from the previous version. Like the previous version from early 2015, the current XPS 13 features a carbon-fiber deck sandwiched between its
brushed-metal lid and bottom, which creates an appealing and modern two-toned look.

The latest version however comes in two varying sizes, which means you can choose from the 15 incher or the 17 incher. Sporting a two level backlight, the keyboard on the XPS 13 makes room room for easy typing. In my typing test I recorded about 85 words per minute. Great huh?

The ports on the Dell XPS 13 notebook include two traditional USB 3.1 ports, an SD card reader and a combo headphone/mic jack. Additionally, the XPS 13 features a reversible USB Type-C
port with support for Thunderbolt 3. This Type-C connection transfers data at up to 40 Gbps or outputs video to multiple 4K displays over a single cord.

The latest Dell XPS 13 notebook comes in varying configurations and so also varies the price. My quad-HD XPS 13 review unit came with a 6th-gen 2.3-GHz Intel Core i5-6200U CPU, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB PCIe x4 (aka NVME) SSD.
