Update Nexus 6P to Android 6.0.1 MMB29M Marshmallow Factory Image

The Nexus 6P device is an android device that operates on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box. However, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update with security patches, bug fixes, cool Emojis and other advanced improvement is now outed for Nexus 6P smartphone.

The Android 6.0.1 being made official features cool Emoji with up to 200 Unicode 8 emojis for this new build and more is expected after build is being updated. Security patches and most especially, improved navigation bars on tablet is included in the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. This time, the “Overview” buttons is placed at the right while the “Back” and “Home” buttons are placed towards the left.

Important Notice:
It’s recommended you take nandroid backup of your device current ROM and also take full backup of your data because during the process, the entire files and data on your device will be wiped off. How to Update Nexus 6P to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Factory Image

1.       First off, download the Android 6.0.1 Image from the below links, then extract to the desktop menu of your computer.

2.       After that, download and install the ABD drivers on your computer, and connect your device to the computer.

3.       After that, boot your device to bootloader mode by pressing Power and Volume Down buttons together.

4.       Once you're in bootloader mode, then go to the angler-MMB29M folder that you extracted in the first step and copy/paste all file to the ADB/Fastboot directory folder, then run the file named;

For Windows PC - flash-all.bat
For Linux- flash-all.sh
For Mac- flash-all.sh (use terminal to run for mac.

5.       Once you run any of the above file (depending on the type of PC you use), the flashing process would begin, and it might take few minutes.
