ReplyHello, great help you are making available here. I just noticed a crack on the screen of my tecno phantom A3. I used it earlier today and the crack was not there. It also did not fall so i am suspecting something may have hit my pocket with the phone inside. The phone is working and displaying but the touch screen/pad is not responding. I have tried removing the batteries to power off and powering back on. The power buttons at the side work but the touch screen power off does not slide too. I will appreciate it if i can get a solution through this medium. Thank you.

I have tried three of the steps apart from factory reset and removing the cover to knock the edge of the screen, The screen remains unresponsive. I cant help but notice however that the solutions provided did not put into consideration that the screen is cracked.The tecno phantom a3 stouch stopped responding just after i noticed the crack. I am reluctant to attemot step 4 because i have several telephone numbers and whatsapp contact on the phone that is not backed up. What do i do .

ReplyThe screen is not blank. Everything is normal, graphics and all...apart from the touch not working. Some keys on the left side of the keyboard work. But generally it is not responding to swipe and typing.
ReplyHi there. I've gone through everything here and see the great stuff you're doing. More grease to your elbow. I've got an issue with a Gionee P2, and though I suspect it could be a battery fault, I just want to know if anyone else has faced it. The P2 just out of nowhere stopped coming on whenever I tried pressing the power button. Even pulling the battery out and putting it back in didn't solve the problem. Plugged it to a charger and the battery meter showed 82%. So I turned it on and it kept going for a while before it went off. Now if I plug it again and try to turn it on the screen blinks. The battery meter comes up and shows 83% then the screen goes off. Sometimes trying to turn it on will give you the Gionee logo before it goes off again.

ReplyIf you mean the hold power + up key to try a hard reset yh iv tried that... But when i select any of the options i.e reboot system now or wipe data/factory reset, it shows no command
ReplyThis applies to you if you experience any of the following:
Reply- Phone not restarting/rebooting during update
- "No Command" message
- Dead Android Robot or Exclamation Point in triangle
- Green Android Robot (called "Andi")
These are only shown when the Super User Access has been cancelled or denied during the installation process of:
- App Store (Apps Installer widget)
- Fairphone OS software update
In both these cases, you will need to enter AndroidRecovery Modeand manually finish installation.
If you see a resting robot or an exclamation point in a triangle, then you are currently in this Android Recovery Mode. If you need to enter Recovery Mode, follow this Q&A.
Once you are in Recovery Mode, follow these steps:
NOTE: Before starting this step,disconnect all cablesyou may have connected to your Fairphone. Also, make sure your Fairphone is charged at least80%.
1.Press the Power button once. A menu will appear.
2.Press and use the Volume Down to navigate down to "apply update from sdcard".
3.Once this option is highlighted in blue, select this option by pressing Volume Up.
4.Use Volume Down to navigate down to "updater". Select with Volume Up.
5.Use Volume Down to highlight "fp_update_OTA[version number].zip" and select with Volume Up.
6.Installation will take place.
7.Once installation is complete you will see the message "Install from sdcard complete."
8.Now you can reboot your phone. "Reboot system now" should be highlighted in blue. Press Volume Up to select it.

Replywe have same problem but the thing is im aware of the problem and its cause. Here's what happens. I rooted my phone and uninstalled built-in apps without knowing it's recommended for the phone to start up. So when i restarted it,it got stuck up in the welcoming screen.. Just till there and didnt open further.. Can i reinstall it again ?or can i reset it to its factory settings?

I did a hard reset on my tecno p3 all seemed to be well but after few minutes, my phone started frozen. It will on and go off on its own within seconds. Though on reading you post here, i find out that i didn't remove the memory card before the hard reset. Is this why I am having this problem, if so, what can a do?

One day, the English spel checker started failing, it does not give any more suggestions, only the names of my contacts, and underlines all the words in red as if they were miss-spelled, Besides, if I ever touch the word it asks me to touch twice to enter it into my dictionary!

Replymy Tecno M3 has the first time a problem that I seem not to be able to solve.
Just before I encountered the problem I had the phone connected via USB to my laptop and used the Hotspot for my internet access…the battery went down to 3% and I switched it off.
It didn´t want to be switched on again after that and after unplugging and plugging it with the computer it showed a message with different booting options. The message said I could select the booting options with the volume switches, but they didn´t work.
Then I removed and put back the battery and the SD card. Then I tried to use the combination of the “switch-on” button and “volume-up” button but still no reaction from the phone.
Is there something I could do, e.g. plug it into the computer via USB and run a software (that you might be able to send me) to make it work again.

Replyok. Simply switch off the device, then hold volume up+down and power button together, then it would boot to recovery menu, then you would see like clear emmc (most, written in china language), click on it, and your device would be hard formatted. it would take some few minutes before it reboots, so just be patient with it.
