Advantages In rooting your android device

Running special applications-
Superuser is an app that can only be run on a rooted Android phone. This allows you to control which apps have access to the "root" system. Another popular application that "rooting" affords is the ability to tether a computer to your Android phone so that the computer can access the Internet using the phone's data connection. Another program can allow your Android to be used as a WiFi Hotspot without having to pay your provider for the feature.

Freeing up memory-
When you install an app on your phone, it is stored on the phone's memory. "Rooting" allows you to move installed applications to your SD card, thus freeing up system memory for additional files or apps.

Custom ROM's-
This is the most powerful feature of "rooted" phones. There are hundreds of custom ROM's that can do anything from speeding up the processing speed of your phone to changing the entire look and feel of your phone.

Disadvantages of rooting your android device

There are two main disadvantages to rooting and Android phone;

Rooting immediately voids your phone's warranty-
Once rooted, don't try to bring your phone back for service or warranty work. You are on your own!

2.
Rooting involves the risk of "bricking" your phone-
In essence, a "bricked" phone is no better than carrying around a brick in your pocket. The phone is dead when it has been "bricked."

Other potential disadvantages, though less severe, are still worthy of consideration;

Poor performance-
Though the intention of "rooting" a phone is to give the phone more performance, several users have found that, in their attempts to speed up the phone or add additional features, that their phones lost both performance speed and features. Remember that when you "root" your Android phone, you are making changes to the stock operating system.

2.
Viruses-
Yes, even phones can get viruses. A common practice that people do with "rooted" phones is to flash their ROM's with custom programs. Whenever you make changes to the code of a software, you run the risk of introducing a virus.

Today we are going to base our disscussion on increasing our usb 2.0 on our personal computer(pc)

We generally use USB 2.0 interface for tranferring data from one device to other. USB 3.0 is also available which gives super speed of 625Mbps (theoretically) but thay are not so popular in India because the system manufacturer were not producing them in India.
USB 2.0 is very popular and all the computer systems which are manufactured after year 2000
are bundled with USB 2.0. USB 2.0 is categorized in Hi-Speed interface for data transfer. They gives data transfer speed of up to 35Mbps (theoretically).
But when we use them to transfer data, practical speed is nearly about 4-7Mbps. This practical speed can be hiked up to 12-15 Mbps or more if you are lucky, by changing the USB device policies. In this tutorial I will explain you how to do this:

Increasing Speed Of USB 2.0

First, plug in your USB device or pen drive in to your computer.
Now after the device is connected, open "COMPUTER".
Right click on your device and open Properties.

Now, In when open dialog box click on Hardware Tab.
Select the USB device from the list and click on properties below it.

Now, a new dialog box will open, In this dialog box click on Change settings button.
Again a new dialog box will open in this box, click on Policies tab.

Now, you will see that your default Removal Policy is set to Quick Removal.
Change the policy to Better Performance.

When you set your removal policy to 'Better Performance' it will increase your data transfer speed but when you need to remove your USB device you must use 'Safely Remove Hardware' notification icon in the system tray. Otherwise your device will be damaged and it can ask for scan and fix bad sector when you plug your device again in the computer system.

How to unlock/Reset your nokia lost security code

Disclamier:- Please do not use this tutorial as an advantage in hijacking other peoples nokia device.

This thread is a very familiar thread to so many mobile engineers.
Most of you guys spends over $10 to get your nokia mobile unlocked whenever you lost your security code.

Requirements:-
i. Nokia PC Suite

ii. Nemesis Service Suite

iii. Phone data cable

Must Read:-All nokia secret codes you need to know

TO RESET THE PHONE LOCK BACK TO DEFAULT
1. First the latest version of Install Nokia PC Suite

2. Then install Nemesis Service Suite (NSS)

3. Now connect your mobile phone to your computer
with the data cable. If the phone prompts, choose
default mode or PC Suite mode but do not open pc
suite yet.

4. Next, start Nemesis Service suite (NSS)

5. Select scan for new devices button (on top right
corner of NSS)

6. Click on Phone Info button.

7. Now click the Scan button.

8. Under Power Mode, select Local and then click
Change. At this point, your Nokia phone should restart,
and you should see the text Local mode across your
phone screen.

9. Under Production Data Edit, click Read button. The
textboxes should now contain values.

10. Check the Enable check box beside Product Code
.

11. Click Write button.

12. Select Tools button on top

13. Click Factory Settings tab 13. Tick Full Factory button and click Reset button.

14. Final step, go back to Phone Info and click Normal
then Change.
Now your security code should be 12345.

TO READ THE EXISTING UNLOCK CODE
1. Connect your phone in PC Suite mode

2. Open Nemesis Service suite (NSS)

3. Then click on scan for new devices button (top right
hand side)

4. Click on phone info button.

5. Now Click on Scan.

6. Select Permanent Memory.

7. Click on Read.

8. It will read the permanent memory file and save it
on the disk at following path.
C:\Program Files\NSS\Backup\pm\.pm

9. Open the .pm file using Notepad.

10. Now scroll until field [308], and on the 5th Record
(5=) your security code is saved at there.

11. Like 5=31313131310000000000

12. Remove all “3” digit and it will be
31313131310000000000

13. 11111 is your security code.

Alternatively, you can read the PM file with Nokia BB5
PM Security Code.

How to unlock your stuborn New or Old modem

How to Modem unlock

Have been recieving email from many of my blog visitors on how to unlock there moderm, most avail few didn't. Well most people charge to unlock moderm but here i say no fee requried.

Well am going to be disscussing on how to unlock your new and old stubborn moderm.

Just follow this tutorial strictly and you would grab immediately.

This tutorial goes for unlocking both your new and old moderm. E.g E303 e.t.c
1. Have a Gmail account already or register a new one.

2. Login HERE using ur gmail account.

3. It will display where to input your modem IMEL number and click on GENERATE/CALCULATE.

4. It will not display the unlocking code directly, so you have to click ong+sign below where you input the IMEL early.
So as to dispaly the result of the unlocking code.

5. It will also display two unlocking code. OLD & NEW ALGO. So to know which ALGO code that will unlock your modem then.

6. Input your IMEL HERE to check which unlock code among the two wiill unlock ya modem. The one to use will be display.

7. Now Insect a SIM which is not for the MODEM e.g Airtel sim to MTN modem e.t.c
When it display ENTER unlock code then input the unlocking code you just generate early and BOOM You can now use any simcard or line in your UNLOCKED modem now.

FOR SOME OLD MODEM TYPE e.g E156G e.t.c

1.There is no need for Gmail account... Just INPUT your IMEL HERE and follow from STEP 7 to UNLOCK your modem.

SOLUTION FOR MODEM THAT DID'NT ASK FOR UNLOCKING CODE WHEN NEW SIM PLACED e.g E122, E620

Generally when we insert the wrong SIM card in modem then by default it prompt for the unlock code but in case when your modem is not asking for the unlock code we have to manually (force fully) send the unlock code using this tool below.

1. First of all make sure that you have generated unlock code for your modem as stated above and know the ALGO type that will unlock it.

2. Download & Open This Tools HUAWEI UNLOCK CODE WRITE

3. In order to send unlock code we have to select the com port first, Click on Please Select The COM Port, now click on Detect and your port is detected, select it and Click on Accept.

4. Now Click on Unlock Modem and The Enter Modem Code Window will prompt and ask for the unlock code, write down your Unlock code there and click on OK.

5. It will send the code to modem and you will see the Confirmation... Boom... Your modem is UNLOCKED.

NOTE:
-

1.You will be given 10 credits to unlock your modem per gmail account... So you can unlock like 10 modems with a single gmail account and you can unlock more with anoda gmail

2. Make use of PC or desktop view OPERA on mobile to do this.

3. Your modem IMEL NUMBER is found around the modem parts... So look for it.

How to upgrade N3 and P3 custom rom to Android 4.0

These are the below requirement needed for custom rom upgrade for N3 and P3 to Android 4.0:-

1. It is always adviceable you back up your present ROM before flashing it with a custom ROM

2. Before we begin, you need a CWM recovery for your N3/P3 download it and do as well read more about it here

How To Install Custom Rom For N3 & P3

1.Downlaod Eblak_N7(ROM) here and su-bin-3.1.1-arm-signed(FOR ROOTING) here

2.place it on your sdcard root

3.Boot to recovery>>wipe data factory resetand wipe cache partition

4.Goto Advance "wipe dalvik cache”

5.Select +++go back+++àThen, select‘install zip from sd card’. Choose zip from sd card

6.Select Eblak_N7.zip then Navigate to "YES". As soon as you see "installation complete", select choose zip from sd card

7.And choose su-bin-3.1.1-arm-signed.zip. When you are through, select “+++go back+++” and choose “power off”. You can then restart your device.

For P3 Users alone (Patch Installing)

==>Download P3_Patch here

==>Save the downloaded file on your sd card

==>Go to clockworkmod and install the zip. Their is no need to wipe anything, just install the zip from clockworkmod.
That's it guys.

You should now have a branded ics custom rom running 4.0 installed on your device.

Once you have successfully upgraded your rom to android 4.0, here are the likely features for it to have:-
