How to Root Galaxy S5 G900T on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

Few weeks back, most variants of the Samsung galaxy S5 received the 5.1.1 Lollipop official update. However, rooting the OS is necessary.

Assuming, you’ve a Galaxy S5 G900T smartphone, and you still wish to root the handset, then I advise you follow up the guide properly.



In this guide, I would walk you through the process on how to root Samsung Galaxy S5 G900T on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Any device outside this, might lead to brick.

NB: before you get started, I advise you perform a nandroid backup for your rom.

1.       Firstly, make sure you’ve installed TWRP recovery on your Galaxy S5. Check this guide on how to install TWRP recovery on Galaxy S5 Smartphones.

2.      After that, download SuperSU from here on your computer, and move the downloaded files to the internal storage of your Samsung Galaxy S5 device.

3.      Now, switch off your device and boot to recovery mode (press and hold Volume Down button + press Power button).

4.      After that, go to the recover main menu, then choose install, then select the SuperSU file and install immediately.

5.      Once the flashing process is completed, simply reboot your device via the recovery main menu.

Thanks for the methods of sharing on how to root galaxy s5. I have a cellphone repair shop and lots of costumer wanted to root their phone i am currently using www.oneclickroot.com. I will try this method as soon i have a new costumer that wants to root their phone. By the way those this method applies on all android phones or brands or only this phone model?
