How to Root Tecno W4 and Change IMEI Number

The Tecno W4 smartphone is a recently launched Tecno device and also the first tecno device to feature Android 6.0 marshmallow operating system out of the box. What I’ll simply do is to provide you with the required files which you’re to use to commence.

Requirements:

1. Download TWRP Recovery file here.

2. Download SuperSU file from here.

Now to root your device, you’ve to install TWRP Recovery file on your device and then flash the SuperSU file via recovery menu. All you need to do is to go through this guide here and follow same procedure. Please, endeavor to flash the TWRP file provided from the link above and also the SuperSU file; don’t use the ones on that guide to avoid bricking your device.

Once you’re done rooting your device, simply download Chamelephon application on your device and make use of the app to change the IMEI of your device.
