Google finally release Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for her Pixel C tablet (Google’s made tab) along with two factory images with build numbers MXB48J and MXB48K. However, you can manually upgrade your Pixel C tablet from Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow using any of the factory images provided.
The Android 6.0.1 being made official features cool Emoji with up to 200 Unicode 8 emojis for this new build and more is expected after build is being updated. Security patches and most especially, improved navigation bars on tablet is included in the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. This time, the “Overview” buttons is placed at the right while the “Back” and “Home” buttons are placed towards the left.
If you can also recall the “Do not disturb” features that was integrated on Android 5.1 Lollipop, you’ll notice that the feature was omitted from Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Now the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update features the Do not Disturb features via “Until Next time” options.
I know that most of you that have been anticipating this update won’t like to wait any longer, that’s the reason I created this manual guide on updating Google Pixcel C to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow factory image. For the patient ones, you can still wait till the update gets to you via OTA.
Important Notice:
1. First off, download the Android 6.0.1 Image from the below links, then extract to the desktop menu of your computer.
2. After that, download and install the ABD drivers on your computer, and connect your device to the computer.
3. After that, boot your device to bootloader mode by pressing Power and Volume Down buttons together.
4. Once you're in bootloader mode, then go to the ryu-MXB48J or ryu- MXB48K folder (depending on the build you want to flash) that you extracted in the first step and copy/paste all file to the ADB/Fastboot directory folder, then run the file named;
5. Once you run any of the above file (depending on the type of PC you use), the flashing process would begin, and it might take few minutes.
Once the process is completed, your device would be rebooted automatically, and you’ll begin to experience the official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on your Google Pixel C devices. If you’ve any difficulty performing any of the above operations, do let us know via comment section.
