LG G5 smartphone has finally started receiving update to the next stage of marshmallow which is versioned as 6.0.1 marshmallow firmware. However, this update comes with lot of bug fixes and some other newly introduced features that wasn’t integrated on the previous firmware.

LG G5 is the latest flagship device from LG that has been rumored for some couple of while and expected to go official in 2016. However, the device is expected to come with dual SIM functionality, 4G LTE capability and outed in various colors.



The LG G5 device features a massive 5.6 inches QHD display with 16M color, 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. The smartphone also comes with a 20MP rear camera with clear pixel resolution (5152 x 3888 pixels) featuring  optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash,  a massive 8MP front snapper featuring geo-tagging, touch focus, and face detection, HDR and panorama. However, the camera comes with a 1/2' sensor size.

Few months back, the predecessor of the LG G5 smartphone (LG G4), was praised for its impressive camera features and this proves that the hyped smartphone was for a good reason. However, an insider recently leaked that the LG G5 would show-off with a 20MP Sony sensor with a half-inch diagonal, which is one of the largest around.


The source also stated that the LG G5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 820, and this is Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC.
